MUISE, Celeste – of Pinkney’s Point, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 5th at the age of 100. She was a daughter of the late Remi Fidelis and Delphine (Clairmont) Surette. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Delbert) Saulnier, Pinkney’s Point; sons, Otis (Sandra) Muise, Lake Doucette; Brian (Sandy) Muise, Arcadia; Alfred (Anita) Muise, Halifax; Neil (Theresa) Muise, Yarmouth; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Celeste was predeceased by her husband, Jules; sisters, Effie Surette, Etta Legere, and Bella Cottreau; great grandson, Josh. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where visitation was from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, February 8 in the funeral home in Yarmouth, with prayers at 8 p.m.. A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Melbourne, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. A burial was held in Saint Raphael’s Catholic Cemetery, Pinkney’s Point. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Family flowers only.
