Ann Bernick, former longtime resident of New Waterford and born in New Glasglow, passed peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2015, in Toronto, Ont. at Baycrest Apotex Centre.
Survived by her children Inez (Ephram) Gerber, Merle (Bruce) Ames, and Mark (Laurie) Bernick. Grandchildren Sean, Shayna (Joel), Malka (Sarah), Brianna, Elysha, Kaley, Aaron, Josh (Kayla), Alana. Great-grandchildren Josh, Aiden, Ben, Melissa, Lior, Adi Maple. Sisters Jean Trainor and Stephanie Ames. Predeceased by her husband Al, her parents Isaac and Ethel Berlovitch and sibling Bessie, Walter, Harold, and Miriam. Special appreciation to her loving and devoted caregivers Marge, Marla, Charmaine and Viola.
Ann was fiercely independent, very determined, and exceedingly generous. She will be missed and the legacy she and Al created will endure.
