GOGUEN, SARAH
1926 – 2016
Sarah Goguen, 89, of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Notre-Dame, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Villa Providence, Shediac on Monday, February 15, 2016. She was married to the late Raymond Goguen (2006). Born in Notre-Dame, she was the daughter of the late Blair and the late Elodie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
She will be sadly missed by her five children; Jocelyne Durepos (Renald) of Shediac, Paulette Goguen (Mark Robere) of Notre-Dame, André (Eleanor) of Dieppe, Rodrigue (Francine) of Notre-Dame and Denis (Lise) of Cocagne, her thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her four sisters; Yvonne Bourgeois (Odule), Louise Bourgeois both of Grande-Digue, Germaine Léger of Cap de Cocagne, Elnora LeBlanc of St. John’s, NL, her two brothers; Thomas and Blair (Aurelda) of Notre-Dame as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one sister Rita and three brothers, Léo, Laurie and Frank.
Visitations will take place at the Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Notre-Dame, on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Friday from 9 to 10:45. Funeral Mass will be held at the Notre-Dame Church on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Sarah’s memory donations may be made to the Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur parish fund.
