MacDONALD, NEIL THOMAS "TOM" ANDREW
It is with great sadness that the family of Tom MacDonald of Saint John, NB announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, February 15, 2016 after a brief illness. As in life Tom demonstrated courage and resolve in his final hours. Born in Fredericton, NB on April 4, 1952 he was the son of the late Irven G. and Minnie E. (McCoy) MacDonald. Tom owned and operated his own truck and drove for RST for a number of years. Following this he drove truck for Galbraith Construction for a number of years until his passing.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 29 years, Janette (Janie) May Parks; son Trent Andrew (Nathalie); two grandsons and two granddaughters; step-daughter Suzanne Elizabeth (Dave) Jackson and two step grandsons. Tom also leaves behind two sisters, Ruby Thompson (Fred) of Fredericton, NB and Elizabeth Larlee (Howard) of Langley, BC; three brothers Ralph (Marg) of Welsford, Paul (Ardith) of Kingsclear, Kenneth (Marilyn) of Saint John; sisters-in-law Dorothy MacDonald and Loy MacDonald; several nieces and nephews.
Tom was predeceased by his parents; two brothers John Arthur MacDonald and George Frederick MacDonald, a sister Marion Pauline Mersereau, her husband Kenneth L. Mersereau a niece Bonny Lynn Lyons and a nephew Colin Wilson.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday, February 19 at 3 p.m. Visitations will be held from 1 p.m. until service time.
