MAILING, CHARLES "CHUCK" AMBROSE
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Charles “Chuck” Mailing announces his death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, February 17th, 2016 at the age of 91. Born in Brantford, ON, on December 12th, 1924, he was the husband of Jean (Cook) Mailing of Fredericton, NB.
In addition to his wife, Jean, Chuck leaves behind his children, David Mailing of Brantford, ON, and Nancy Parkhill (John) of Ancaster, ON; step-children, Eugene Phillips (Ruth) of Edmonton, AB, Roxanne Wood (Pat Karnes) of Fredericton, NB, Jocelyn Phillips of London, ON, Bev Phillips of Penniac, NB, and Chris Phillips (Cheryl) of London, ON; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Beaudoin of Burlington, ON; sisters-in-law, Bonnie McLachlan (Ron) of AB, Debra Cook of PE and Dulcie Cook of AB; brother-in-law, Bill Cook of PE; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Edna (Cowie) Mailing; son, Steven Mailing; step-daughter-in-law, Katrina Phillips; sister, Phyllis Mailing; and brothers-in-law, Tom Mallinson and Bud Beaudoin.
Chuck was a proud veteran of WWII, having served his country with the RCAF. Following his service he was a self-employed business man. Chuck truly was an officer and a gentleman.
A private graveside service for family and close friends will be held in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Chuck’s memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
