TRENTON – Joan Kathleen MacDonald, Trenton, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016.
Born on September 15, 1932, Joan was raised in Stellarton, a daughter of the late Henry and Cecelia (MacLean) MacDonald. She was a member of the former Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. Joan was a lady who possessed a quiet, unwavering faith in God and deep love for her family.
Surviving are daughter, Lydia “Pokey”; sons, Murray (Sanja) and Kevin; sisters, Faye, Brenda, Marcella and Colleen; brothers, Dougie, Bobby and Sandy; grandchildren, Danielle, Andrew and Alannah; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; daughter, Joanie; son, Bud; sisters, Virginia and Henrietta; brothers, Raymond in infancy, Wayne, Edward and Donnie.
In honour of Joan’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Stellarton, where she will be placed at rest with her late husband, Frank.
