It is with great sadness that son Tony George and the family of the late Lena George Hause announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home, after a lengthy illness on Thursday, February 18, 2016 in her 85th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Tony George, Burnaby BC; grand-daughter Christa (Dean); great-grandchildren: Jakob and Karlee; siblings: Ruby (Russ) Boyd, Sarnia ON, Margie Blackstock, Steyner ON, Jeri Pearce, Calgary AB, Betty (Bob) Joyce, Shallow Lake ON, Ron (Ruth), Fermosa ON, Eva George, Corner Brook, Shirley (Dave) White, Fort Sask. AB, Wilfred (Dot), Halfway Point, Norm (Mary), Corner Brook, Nora George, Corner Brook, David (June), Brampton ON, Peggy (Bob) Brake, Corner Brook, Ernie George, Shallow Lake ON; sister in Law Anastasia George, Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband Rueban Hause (2010); mother Marion Collins, father Charlie George; brother Heber George; sister Lilly (Travis)Yates; brothers in law: Herald Pearce and George Blackstock; and sister in law Brenda George. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from The Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive, officiated by Captains Cory and Pamela Pinksen. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home - 4th Floor.
