It is with great sadness that the family of Renee Jane Mary Martineau announce her peaceful passing, with her family by her side, after a courageous fight with Cancer, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the age of 25 years. Leaving to mourn her partner Laura Brake; mother Ann Marjorie Noel; father Sylvain Martineau (Wanda Paterson); sister Nicole Martineau (Ryan Hinks); grandparents Howard Noel and Claude and Rejeanne Martineau; aunts and uncles John Noel (Geri Pike), David Noel (special aunt Lola Noel), Daniel Martineau (Karen); cousins April Crocker (Sheldon), Mark Noel (Shayvonne Snook), Andre Martineau (Denise Sherlock), and Justin Martineau (Jennifer); her fur babies Sunny and Smokey; special friend Amy Gallant; also a large circle of friends and family. She was predeceased by her grandmother Jane Noel (2015). The family would like to send a special thank you to the doctors and the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at WMRH, 4 North A - Health Science Centre, Ottawa General Hospital, and Princess Margaret Hospital, for their care and compassion for Renee. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Ave., officiated by Father Edward Terry. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
