
Marven Harold McGregor
McGREGOR, Marven Harold – 68. With sadness we announce that Marven Harold McGregor of Middle Musquodoboit, and formerly of Truro, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in the Head of Jeddore, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Vera (Stoddard) McGregor. Marven was an incredible man, known by tons and loved by many. He was best known for his love of sharing stories about his experiences and years of hard work with all who crossed into life’s path. He fondly recalled his time spent working for Canadian Coast Guard, Imperial Oil and Department of Transportation and was proud of his days as a Boy Scout Leader. Marven loved classic cars, target shooting, sports and years spent with his perfect match, Ruth McKeen, and four-legged best friend, Butchie. His spirit is carried on by his children, Wanda (Marty) Arnold, Wendy (Sue) Burns, Lisa (Brian) Yorke, Kenneth (Crystal) McGregor, Michael (Shannon) McGregor; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Desiree, Brylee, Josh, Mitchell, Dylan; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Sheila MacLean, Darrell (Meh-Fan) McGregor; many nieces, nephews, and others too numerous to list, but not forgotten. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Ronnie, Kenneth, Wanda. Marven was a loving father, partner, grandfather and friend to all. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where friends (and those he would have loved to have met) can visit with Marven’s family from 4-6 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2016.
