Albert Jolicoeur

JOLICOEUR: Albert Joseph Jolicoeur was born in New Westminister, B.C. on January 11, 1957. He started learning his trade as a siding applicator at a young age working with his dad. This is what he did most of his life other that trying out a couple of different jobs. He always went back to siding. He was good at what he did and always did careful work. He married Florence Shirley Roy on August 4, 1979. They had two boys, Matthew born on March 12, 1983 at two and a half months premature and Dillon on June 14, 1986. During this time they moved around a lot while the boys were small. The marriage ended and Florence moved to Swift Current, SK to raise the boys. After much moving around Albert eventually moved to Swift Current to be near his sons. Matthew liked going out with his dad and Dillon also as well as working on vehicles together which they both enjoyed doing. Dillon passed away suddenly on August 27, 2011 in a vehicle accident. Albert had a very hard time accepting this and never really got over it. He loved his boys very much and had a soft spot for Matthew which you could see when they were together. Albert passed away suddenly on February 8, 2016 and is survived by his son Matthew Jolicoeur; mother Irene Jolicoeur; siblings Ida (Roger) Chenier, Pauline Lawrence, Yvonne Rowe, Diane Jolicoeur, Roseanne (Joe) Armstrong, Eugene Jolicoeur, Paul (Jean) Jolicoeur and Arthur (Tammy) Jolicoeur. He was predeceased by his son Dillon; his father Rosaire; brothers Raymond and Maurice Jolicoeur; and sister Doris Cropley. He will be missed. The Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 23, 2016 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Zoria Shumay officiating. The Interment Service will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Donations in Albert's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan.
