John Morley Clary age 86 of Lancer, SK passed away on February 8, 2016. The Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from the Lancer Community Hall with Arden Andreas officiating and the interment took place from the Lancer Community Memorial Cemetery. The eulogy was read by Del Erickson and honorary pallbearers are all those who shared in Morley's life. Morley is survived by his spouse Marilyn; his children Cheryl Clary (Don Spencer), Jack Clary, Bob (Danelda) Clary, and Jim Clary; his sister Yvonne Beaton; and his grandchildren Derek Spencer, Blaire Spencer, Jillian Clary, Delano Clary and Daniel Clary. Morley attended school in Lancer and on August 19, 1951 he married Marilyn Trautwein in Medicine Hat, AB. As well as running the family farm, Morley was a member of the National Rifleman's Association, Great Sand Hills Wildlife Branch, the Credit Union Board, F.N.A.W.S., Flying Farmers Association, and also was the Mayor of Lancer. He also enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, curling, fishing, traveling, flying, brandings and was a generous, helpful member of the community. Morley was a farmer at heart and felt fortunate to be involved in a lifestyle that gave him so much pleasure. He could fix or fabricate practically anything and took pride in helping his neighbors when ever he could. Morley will be best remembered for his personable nature and the kindness and warmth he conveyed to everyone he met.
