The family of Stanley William Mader regret to announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather on Tues. Feb. 23, 2016, at home.
Born in Sydney, he was the eldest son of the late Stanley and Rose Mader.
Stan is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie (Jessome); daughter, Karen (Dr. Paul Pluta), Port Hawkesberry, and their daughters Allison and Sara, and by his daughter, Donna (Dr. Brian Trites), Fredericton, and their daughters, Hannah, Emily, and Nicole. Stan is also survived by sisters, Helen, Toronto, Betty (Richard) Paruch, Sydney, and brother, Francis (Glenda), New Glasgow.
Stan was predeceased by his brother, Danny Mader.
Stan and Marge enjoyed a wonderful life together raising their family. Stan loved spending time with his granddaughters, whom he loved dearly, and fishing with his longtime pals on the waters of Cape Breton. You could always find Stan lending a hand to the neighbours on Mira Road, or enjoying a morning coffee with his friends.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bill Legge officiating.
