Albert A. Doyle, of Halifax, born 1932 in Inverness, Cape Breton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Feb. 25, 2016.
Albert was the son of the late Victor & Margaret (Currie) Doyle, and husband of Mary Agnes (MacKinnon).
He is survived by his children, Ann Marie (Stuart) Moors, Neil (Bernadette), Margaret (Luc) Brisson, Janice (Larry) Jones, Darlene (Dougal) MacAulay, Rose (late John) MacLellan, Gerard (Barry) and Michelle, as well as 15
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by sisters, Monica (late Frank) Sullivan, Ann (Danny) Briand, Charlotte (Albert) Tanguay, Rosalie (Dave) Lionais & brothers Anslem (Marie), Russell, and John (Sandra).
Albert owned a barbershop on Charlotte Street in Sydney for many years, then went on to operate his own trucking business before retiring from DND in Halifax. He was an avid card player, with a special affinity for tarbish, crib and a good cup of tea.
Albert loved nothing more than helping those in need and to this end in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loaves and Fishes, 139 Charlotte St. Sydney, N.S.

A celebration of Albert’s life will be held March 26, 2016, in Halifax at 112 Greenpark Close, 1-5 p.m.
