
John Tremblett
We regret to announce the passing of John Tremblett, 88, of Sydney Mines, on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney Mines on Nov. 6, 1927, he was the son of the late Jack and Gertrude Tremblett.
He is survived by daughters, Doreen (Brian) Acorn, P.E.I., Donna (Calvin) Anderson, Sydney Mines, Susan (Randy) Bragg, Ontario, and Valerie (Victor) Reardon, Florence, and his son, John (Sandra) Tremblett, Howie Center. Also left to mourn are his grandchildren, Brenda, Shelly, Andrew, Willie, Leonard, Adam, Courtney, Kevin, Tara, Brittany, Donna and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Daniel, David, Matthew, Samantha, Malia, Kyla, Andrew, Kailyn, Lincoln and Conor; brothers, Percie, William (Ester) and Eric (Cerellia), and sisters, Marie Walsh (Cyril) and Helen Crane. John will also always be remembered by his best friend, Carmen Demarco.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his wife, Lucy; his daughter, Sherry; brothers, Gordon, Wallace, David, Earl, Doug and Wilfred, and sisters, Ella Grace Gear (John), Margaret Yorke (Aubrey) and Edna Legge (Max).
Visitation for John Tremblett will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. A celebration of his life will take place Thursday, at 2 p.m., in Carman United Church, Clyde Avenue, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Nick Phillips officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Cape Breton Palliative Care Society, the Regional Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
