Helen Whiteway, 68, of Kentville, N.S., passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Duvar, she was the daughter of Angeline (Clements) Doiron of Duvar and the late Peter Doiron. She is survived by her husband, James “Jim,” two sons, James “Jim” Jr. and Paul, both of Bedford, N.S., a daughter, Kelly (Douglas) Kaizer, a sister, Margaret Perry, Duvar, two brothers, Alyre (Fabiola) Doiron, Elmsdale, P.E.I., and Vincent (Marjorie) Doiron, Duvar, her mother-in-law, Dorothy Whiteway, Kentville, three grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexander and Isabel Kaizer, nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Fred (Ardith) Whiteway, sisters-in-law, Marion (Fred) Ilsley and Judy Whiteway. The funeral was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 at 11 a.m., Father Larry Pitcher officiating.
