ALICE ANNIE CROUCHER
August 01, 1927 – March 31, 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice Croucher (nee Hatcher) announces her passing on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port-aux-Basques at the age of 88 years. Alice was the daughter of the late Charlotte Jane and Howard Hatcher. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Croucher, son Ralph Croucher (Jr), brothers, Reginald, John, Alexander, Cecil and Dave, sisters, Emma Leamon and Caroline Burgess, son-in-law, Austin Keeping. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Max (Winnifred), Calvin (Beverly), Evelyn all of Burnt Islands, Monford, Valleyfield and Tony, Brampton, ON, daughter-in-law, Sheila, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren. She will forever remain in the hearts of her brothers and sisters, Victor (Lorraine), Burnt Islands, and Donald (Selina), North Sydney, Marie Meade, Fox-Roost, Margaret Lawrence, Burnt Islands, sisters-in-law, Christine, Minnie and Geraldine, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, many friends, and her three special care-givers, Leona Keeping, Melissa Chaulk and Sheila Croucher. Visitation was held at her daughter’s Evelyn residence in Burnt Islands, on Friday and Saturday. The funeral service took place on Sunday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m., at St. George’s Anglican Church in Burnt Islands with Rev. Jeffery Petten officiating. Interment to followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations in memory of Alice can be made to the family.
