1922 – 2016
Dulcie Carter passed away peacefully into the arms of Our Lord at the Grass Nursing Home, (formerly of Wedgewood Ave. Riverview) Tuesday, April 5, 2016, with her loving family by her side. Born in Botwood, NL, she was the daughter of the late Joshua and Elizabeth (Driscoll) Normore.
Dulcie enjoyed her social life. She was an avid bowler, bridge and crib player. She loved the outdoors, spending time walking, fishing, biking, talking politics and of course her winters spent in Florida, especially those that were spent with her husband Harry. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church in Riverview.
She will be dearly missed by her loving daughters, Christine Carter (Harry McMullin) of Riverview, Susan McLellan (John) of Miramichi; son, Bruce (Edna) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; grandchildren, Brian, Jeff, Tracy, Glenn, April, Natasha, Beckie and Jim; her twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Dulcie was predeceased by her husband, Harry in 1990; daughter, Judy Komand; sisters, Ivy, Rita and Irene; and brother, Nelson.
A service celebrating Dulcie’s life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:00pm with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. The interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations made to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
