Glen Ewen MacKenzie died peacefully on February 4, 2009, at home, age 84, in the presence of Libby, the love of his life, and loving family. His life was rich with memories of the family farm in Melville, P.E.I, his service as a Second World War veteran, 14 years in the Alberta oil fields and two decades on the assembly line of American Motors in Brampton, Ontario. He was a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor and deep love of music. He was proud of his accomplishments as a fiddler and member of the Bolton bagpipe band. He will forever be a hero to his children for his hard work, dedication to family and courage in the face of repeated illness. He will never be replaced. Visitation and funeral service will be held at the Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway South, Keswick, Ontario, L4P 2E3, Saturday, February 7, 2009, from 2-4 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
