Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 surrounded by his family, Thomas (Aloysius) McCarthy. Tom leaves to mourn, his loving wife, of 58 years, Betty. His children, Tom (Debi), Judy (Shawn Skinner), Michelle, Kathy (Dave Gough), Ken (Cheryl), John (Barb), Bob (Nicole). His grandchildren, Erin (Aaron Power), Sherise, Heidi (Matthew Clowe), Matthew, Daniel, Shane, Amy, Brian, Emma, Hannah, Aiden, Claire and Sarah. Great-grandchildren, Liam and Maisie. Also, a large circle of family and friends. The family would like to give thanks to the wonderful staff on 1 Southeast in the Long Term Care Facility in St. John's for all their exceptional care they gave him while living there. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation to take place on Thursday, April 21 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Friday April 22 from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church on Patrick Street. Cremation to follow. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Tom's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
