It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, at the L.A. Miller Centre on Monday, April 25, 2016, Patience Louise Janes R.N., age 74 years. Predeceased by parents Mark and Louise Moody and her brothers Keith and Chesley Moody. Leaving to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Stephen Janes; her children The Reverend Mark Janes (Deborah), Todd Janes (Pamela), Denise Vokey (Steve); her precious grandchildren: Nicole, Stephen, Andrew, Alyssa, Lauren, and Matthew; Sister, Marion Power (Patrick); Brother-In-Law, Fred Janes (Anne); Sisters-In-Law: Jean Knibb (Freddie), Deanna Bartlett (Ray), Sandra Thompson (Frank), Bernice Janes and Geri Janes; as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She will be dearly loved and missed by all who knew her. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John's, on Tuesday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 27, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Service of Christian Burial will take place from The Anglican Church of St. Mary The Virgin, Craigmillar Avenue, St. John's on Thursday, April 28, 2016, 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Pat's memory may be made to the Anglican Church of St. Mary the Virgin and/or VOWR Radio Station. No flowers by request.
