It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Cathie Kirby on May 5, 2016 while on a visit to London, England. She lived to the grand age of 90. She is predeceased by her husband Bill, her daughter Catherine and great-grandson Devon. She leaves behind her son Ian (Bernie), daughter Heather (Alan), grandchildren Kathleen, Kirby (Colin), Tammy (Richard), Billy, Beth (Jason), Ashley (Patrick) and Mark (Lynn Anne), great-grandchildren Kendra, Duggan, Keon, Hayden, Isla, Anastasia and Devony and friend Maureen. Cathie came by ship from Milngavie, Scotland to St. John's in 1945 as Bill's young war bride and soon called St. John's home. She will be missed by her family in Scotland including nieces and nephews Linda, Heather, Walter, Ian and Cathy and her extended family and war bride friends in St. John's. A gathering to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date.
