It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Emily Dunn, age 88 at home exactly where she wanted to be on Friday, May 6, 2016.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Hedley and Florence (Snow) Mollon.
Emily loved to bowl and bowled for over 50 years, she also enjoyed playing darts and tarabish.
Emily enjoyed spending time with her family and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Emily is survived by her loving children, Judy (late Paddy), Evelyn, Donna (Ronnie), Danny (Adrianne), June, Dartmouth, Robert (Margarita), Calgary, Gordie (Cecilia) and Coralee (Brian); 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Maisy and Dorothy; brother, Ernie as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Dunn, her children, Mary Rose and Ardith, siblings, Evelyn, Donnie and Harvey.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fort McMurray Red Cross or a charity of choice.
