Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizens Home, Carbonear, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, Olive R. Curnew of Brigus, aged 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Cyril Curnew; parents John and Ada Fillier; brother Harold and daughter-in-law Karen. Ollie leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Allan (Linda), Glenn, Randy (Judy); daughters Linda (David) Richards, Debbie (Tom) Murray and Gail (Jim) Shanks; brother Harmon (Daphne); eight grandchildren Michelle, Lesley and Steven Richards, Mark Curnew, Tyler and Kayleigh Curnew, Shannon and Samantha Shanks; sisters-in-law Henrietta (Babe) Forbes, Gladys Curnew and Shirley Curnew also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus. Visitation to take place on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 7-9 pm, Friday, May 27, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral to take place on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2 pm from the Anglican Parish of the Resurrection, South River with interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Brigus.
