Passed away peacefully at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Thursday, May 26, 2016. Rt. Rev. Monsignor Francis Anthony Coady, Canon Lawyer, former Chancellor and Vicar-General of the Archdiocese of St. John's. Predeceased by his parents John and Ann Marie Coady, his brother Raymond (Regina), brother-in-law Frank Hannon and niece Regina Armstrong. Left to mourn his sister Madonna Hannon, nieces, nephews, his Brother-Priests of the Archdiocese of St. John's, Religious members of the Congregation of Sisters of Mercy, Presentation Sisters, the Irish Christian Brothers, Brother Knights of Terra Nova Council #1452, as well the parishioners and friends of the various parishes where he ministered. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, May 28 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A vigil service will take place at 8 p.m. in Caul's Chapel. Visitation will continue on Sunday, May 29 from 12:30-3 p.m. at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Sunday, May 29th, 2016 at 3 p.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Interment to follow in the Priests Plot in Belvedere Cemetery.
