It is with great sadness that the family of the late Evelyn Violet Flight announce her passing on Wednesday, June 8th, 2016 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, born in Small Point, Conception Bay, October 29, 1929. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Flight; brothers: Joe, Bill, Charlie, Earl, Elijah, Max and Stan; sister, Doris LeGrow; and special friend, Dave Antle. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, her sister Myrtle (Johnnie Tobin)(Fort McMurray, AB); brother, Robert (Cathy)(Small Point, NL). Evelyn was a loving and caring aunt to her many nieces and nephews, and "Gran" to their children and grandchildren. She loved them as her own. She will always be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and friends. Visitation will take place from Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, June 9, from 7-9pm and on Friday, June 10, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place at Barrett's Chapel on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 12:30pm, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A continued celebration of life will take place at Barrett's Reception Centre following the cemetery service.
