Passed away suddenly at his home in Riverhead, S.M.B., on Saturday, June 11, 2016, Dermot Anthony Synyard aged 54 years. Predeceased by parents William and Carmel (nee Meehan) and baby sister Bridget Mary. Leaving to mourn his loss are his sisters: Rita (Jerry Conway), Marion Fagan, Cora, Tilly (Spencer Vatcher) and Carmelita (Jackie); brothers: David (Gloria), Gerard (Lynn) and Billy (Michelle); Jerome and Evelyn Stamp and family whom Dermot considered as his second family. He will also be lovingly remembered by a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including special friends Hughie Synyard, Denis Lee and his caregiver Anne Marie Grace. Resting at Gibbons' Funeral Home, St. Mary's, on Tuesday, June 14, from 2-9 pm (No visitation on Wednesday). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 15, at 10 am, at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Riverhead. Burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
