Entered into eternal rest at the Palliative Care Unit, St. John's, on Saturday, June 18, 2016, while surrounded by his loving family, Cyril Joseph Stamp, of St. Vincent's, St. Mary's Bay, aged 85 years. Predeceased by his parents John & Gertrude Stamp; sisters: Hannah, Margaret, Maria and Catherine and brothers Edward and James. Leaving to mourn his loving and caring wife Elizabeth (nee Hayward), brother-in-law Frank Hayward (Anne); sisters-in-law: Mary Gibbons, Ottawa, Ontario, Magdalen Greene (Donal), St. Joseph's, Theresa Johnson, Paradise and Sandra Hayward, St. John, N.B. and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special nieces: Madonna Yetman (Walter), Helen Adams (Dennis), Geraldine Williams (Jeff) and very special friends: William Synard, Germaine Stamp and Gerry Burke (Clara). A very special thank you is extended to the doctors and staff of the Palliative Care Unit for the wonderful care you gave to Cyril while he was with you. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 10am, at Sacred Heart Church, St. Vincent's. Inurnment to follow.
