It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margaret announces her passing at the age of 93 at the hospital in Welland, Ontario on Friday, October 2nd 2015, formerly of Campbells Creek. Newfoundland. Beloved wife of the late Edward Hawco for 65 years. She will be sadly missed by her children Peggy (Claude), Junior (Rita), Pat, Bernice (George), Alex, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, brother John (Litty) MacDonald, sister in law Betty MacDonald, brother in law Philip and Clarance Hawco, Max Brace, many nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Sarah and Joseph MacDonald, siblings Patricia, Mattie, Mary, Vonnie, Isabel, Theresa, Angus Joseph, Daniel, Gerard, Joseph, in laws Bridget and Edward Hawco Sr., Jim, Gerald, Mary, Catherine, Annie and Sheila Hawco. A funeral mass was held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Welland, on October 5th 2015, followed by cremation. The family will hold a Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at our Lady of Mercy Church in Port au Port West. Relatives and friends will be received at 10am. Mass is at noon followed by the burial at Campbells Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to our Lady of Mercy Church or the Campbells Creek Cemetery (cards available) would be greatly appreciated.
