Passed Peacefully away at Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre at the age of 83 years 10 months. Predeceased by her loving husband: Patrick; daughter: Shelley; parents: Frank & Daisy Sainsbury; brother: Frank; sister & brother-in-law: Reg & Ruby Standford. Leaving to mourn her loss son: Gary (Martina) Dunne; daughter: Sherry (Chris) Hynes; brother: Russell; special niece: Gloria Sparkes; brother-in-law: Kevin Dunne(Marg); sister-in law: Kay (Bill) Balestra; loving grandchildren: Nicole(Richard) Hearn, Christopher (Denise) Hynes, Keith (Tracey) Dunne, Cohen Dunne (Amanda Thornhill) and Matthew Dunne; adorable great-grandchildren: Avery Hearn, Quinn Hearn, Riley Grace Dunne and Roman Dunne; step-great grandchildren: Nick, Dylan and Abby Walsh, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Also leaving to mourn are her special friends: Alma Osmond, Helen Bulger, Marg Thomas, Lori Kearsey, Carol & Will Lorimer and Ed & Frances Hearn. Special thanks to all that visited Mom at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit of Dr. L. A. Miller Centre. Special thanks to all the staff and nurses at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital (5E), special students nurses (Maggie, Jillian and Jessie) who cared for Mom, to Dr. Robert Woodland for all the years of continued care of our mother, to Dr. David Harrington, Dr. Simon Tewes of St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, to Dr. Hurley & all the wonderful nurses the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre for their care and compassion for mom in her short stay. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday from 12 pm. - 9 pm. and on Thursday from 12 pm. - 9 pm. Funeral service will be held in Barrett's Chapel on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow funeral service. A private interment will take place at a later date.
