ERIC WILSON MEADE
May 23, 1926 – July 5, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Meade announces his passing on Tuesday July 5, 2016 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 90 years. Born in Fox Roost, Eric was the son of the late Ernest and Harriet (nee Billard) Meade. He was also predeceased by his wife Alma (nee LeFrense) in 1999. Son in law Lloyd Billard in 2013, brothers; Clarence, George (Laura), Willard, Augustus, Norman, and Wallace, sisters; Mary Jane (Maxwell) Walters, Lorna (Reginald) Buffett. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving and devoted daughter Gloria Billard Port aux Basques. He will forever remain in the hearts of his grandsons Deon (Gesil) Billard, Darren (Tina) Billard all of Margaree. A proud great grandfather he will also be sadly missed by his great grandchildren; Lucas Carroll, Mitchell Billard, Logan Billard, Nickolas Billard, Brooke Billard. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters in law; Hazel Meade Port aux Basques, Dorothy Meade, Marie Meade both of Fox Roost and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church in Margaree, from where the funeral service took place on Friday July 8, 2 pm officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Anglican Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Eric can be made to the charity of one's choice.
