It is with great sadness that the family of the late Darrell Blais Sr. announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Wednesday July 6th, 2016 at the age of 87 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Elizabeth, his eight children: William, Bertha (Edward) Hynes, Darrell (Mary), Maurice (Ann), Romeo (Kathleen), Richard, Leonard (Lisa) and Nancy (Patrick) Jesso, his two sisters, Lorraine Smeall and Jean Massey, his nineteen grandchildren, his eleven great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Denise Blais, his brother Maurice and grandson Michael. Funeral services will take place on Saturday July 9th at 10:30 am from our Lady of Lourdes Church with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in West Bay. The family will be receiving friends at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Friday July 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. As expressions of sympathy flowers will be graciously accepted.
