It is with great sadness that the family of Olive Doreen Sheppard announce her passing on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 83. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Beatrice (Jerome), granddaughter Carla (Jeff), great granddaughters Amber and Kaitlyn, sisters: Mona Wheeler, Christine Gilbert;, brothers: Russell Park (Louise), Derek Park (Helen), William Park (Sheila), aunt Molly Young, sisters and brothers-in-law: Marie Higgins (Chester), Sarah Sheppard, Allan Sheppard, Archibald Sheppard (Bertha), Raleigh Gilbert, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Charles, July 9, 2011, parents Robert & Helena Park, sister Dorothy, son-in-law Ira Murrin and infant sons and daughters. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may visit St. James Anglican Church in Lark Harbour Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm followed by the funeral service Sunday, July 17th at 3:30 pm, with interment at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church or a charity of ones choice.
