Louis Edward Hayward
August 2, 1958 – July 19, 2016


It is with great sadness that the family of the late Louis Hayward announces his passing on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at his home. Born in Port-aux-Basques, he was the son of James and the late Lucy May (Billard) Hayward. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children, Shawn and Andrea, his father, James Hayward, brothers and sisters, Barbara (Norman) McNeil, Garry (Dena) Hayward, Wayne Hayward (Alice Maynard), Pamela (Paul) Mauger and Wanda (Nick) Di-Monte, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Lucy May Hayward. The family will be receiving family and friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port-aux-Basques on Wednesday, July 20 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, July 21 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service took place on Friday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family.
