New Harris, Cape Breton, Passed away unexpectedly at the QEII on August 3, 2016 at the age of 71. He was a son of the late Frank and Ghlee Wild. Frank worked for 30 years as an insurance advisor for Mutual Life of Canada and Clarica until his retirement in 2000. After retirement Frank “Richard” and Shirley moved to his beloved Cape Breton. Frank was a former member of the board of the Canadian MDRT foundation. During his years in Moncton he was active with the St. James Anglican Church as Treasurer and a member of Synod. He was a Leader and a member of Scouts Canada Organization and also served as a member of the Board for the Moncton Boys and Girls Club which were both very important to him. Richard will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 49 years Shirley, often heard answering to “Shirley Anne!” and his beloved children Brenda, Joe (Denise) and Laura (John Fournaris). His granddaughters Elyssa and Emma Piercey and Zoe and Maya Wild will miss their boat rides on the Bras d’Or lakes with Grandad. He leaves behind his sister Ardath (Bob King) and his brother Michael (Joan) and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Church of St. Andrew 2 Circassion Drive Cole Harbour on Monday August 8, 2016 at 2:00pm.
