Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Center on April 3, 2008, James Desmond Laing AGE 56. Predeceased by his parents Douglas and Iva Laing. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife and best friend Elizabeth (nee Saunders); loving son Peter (Lisa Bruce); brothers Harold (Isabelle) of Carbonear and Melvin (Theresa) of Kitchener, ON; father and mother-in-law Reg and Elaine Saunders; brother-in-law Bill Saunders (Anne); aunts Ruby Laing, Myrtle Pilgrim (Edward); uncle Edward Clarke (Dolly); three nephews; two nieces; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Also leaving his four legged buddies Maggie and Penney. Visitation will be held from Barrett's Funeral Home on Saturday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., on Sunday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Memorial Service will take place from St. Augustine's Anglican Church on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
