It is with great sadness that the family of the late Verna Joyce Grant (Hope) announce her passing on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving her daughter Desiree Hope-Gover (William), Small Point; grandson Philip Gover, Small Point; sisters: Bernice Stratton (Mike Parent), Ottawa and Rene Miles; brother Lorne (Jessie) Miles, Corner Brook; sister-in-law Maude Miles, Corner Brook; her beloved buddies, her cats Keisha and Simba; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband James Grant, parents Jesse and Hettie Miles and brother Gerald Miles. Granting her wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Chapel, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Friday at 1:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating.
