It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond West announce his passing on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 87 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his son: Ernie (Kay), Curling; daughters: Vivian Kelly (Owen), Ottawa, ON and Helena McCallum (Dexter), Halifax, NS; five grandchildren: Wayne (Jolene), Naomi, Peter (Natalie), Colleen (Trevor) and Vivian (Stephen); eight great granddaughters: Hope, Katherine, Angela, Eliza, Mariska, Eve, Alicia and Adrienne; special cousin: May Critch; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife of 63 years Joan West (nee Davis), parents: Eli and Bertha West; brother: Hubert West; and sister: Violet West. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Curling Street with the Venerable Edward King officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary's Church Memorial Fund.
