Peacefully at Lynn Mass. on Sunday, August 28, 2016 of Irene Eleanor Smith (nee Hogan) formerly of Cardigan age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Herman Smith and dear mother of Jim (Kriss) and their daughter Hanna. Irene will be missed by her sisters, Mary Nantes, Estelle Walsh; sister-in-law Sheila Hogan and by many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son Michael, brothers Jim, John , Edgar, Richard and sister Lillian. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Monday morning, then transferred to St. Cuthbert’s Church, St. Teresa for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Cuthbert’s Parish Cemetery.
