It is with great sadness that the family of the late Matthew Edward Brake announce his passing in Toronto, ON on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the age of 38 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his mother Verna; brother Darryl; sister Michelle (John); nephew Ryan; companion Christine; precious daughter Makynzie; step-daughters Mikayala and Adrionna; aunts: Linda Quehe (Bill), Violet Young, Maxine Park (Leo), and Alma Okeef (Phil); special cousin Chad Part (Janet); special friends Jennifer Wheatcroft and Clayton Macdonald; as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Edward Roy Brake (Nov 20, 2012). Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Chapel, 167 Country Road on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Reverend Tony Newell officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
