Charles Robert “Bob” DeMone age 94 of the Northumberland Veterans unit in Pictou, formerly of Riverton passed away Sept. 16. 2016 in the Veterans Unit.
Born in Stellarton he was a son of the late Basil A. and Ruth (Tedford) DeMone.
He is survived by his wife the former Enid Mumford, Shiretown Nursing Home; son Robert Basil (Linda); daughters Barbara Diane (Arthur) Burton; Sharon (Bill) Gardner; step daughter Barbara (Reginald) Foote; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers George and Clyde.
He was predeceased by his first wife Rita and sister Olive.
The family will receive friends from 2- 3 pm on Sunday Sept. 18, 2016 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Sunday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
