Barbara Lowther, 74, of Cornwall, Prince Edward Island, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and slipped away peacefully in a love-filled room. Beloved wife of Donnie Lowther; dear mother of Ken (Marie-Claude), Peter (Tripta), Tina (Dwayne) Stride and Stacy (Jodie) Ford; sister of David (Verna) and Rick (Billie) Livingstone; and six grandchildren, Coady, Jesse, Jaden, Lucas, Blaze, and Maya. She was predeceased by her parents David and Dorothy (nee Edwards) Livingstone. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Tuesday, September 20th, then transferred to West River United Church (Cornwall United Church) where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in the West River United Church Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday evening from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the CNIB, the Salvation Army, or the West River United Church Cemetery Fund.
