At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, with his loving family by his side, of Joseph Lambert Gallant, of Tignish, age 55 years. Born on September 2, 1961, he was the beloved husband of Linda Marie Powers. Cherished father to Tasha (Darren) Ashley of Northport, Tanya (Sheldon) Hackett of North Cape, and Tanner (Brittany) Gallant of Tignish. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Cole Hackett, Abby Hackett, Gracie Hackett, Belle Ashley, Claire Ashley Jane Ashley and his best friend Bruno. Loving son of Stella (Alfred) Gallant of Tignish, and dear brother to Linda (Bruce) Jones of Huntley, Arlene O'Rourke (Malcolm) of Palmer Road, and Willard (Tammy) Gallant of Tignish. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and by his many friends. He was predeceased by his father Alban, brother Kenneth, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and by a niece Valerie Jones. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. Visiting hours Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Church cemetery.
