It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Geoffrey MacDonald, age 34 on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of Darryl and the late Darlene (MacDonald) MacDonald. Geoffrey enjoyed playing hockey in his younger years and was an avid Boston Bruins fan. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour. Besides his father, Geoffrey is survived by his daughter, Camryn Lockman; son, Mason Curnew; sister, Rhonda Vaters (John), Glace Bay; his brother, Christian, Glace Bay; aunt, uncles, cousins, nephews and his maternal grandmother, Christina MacDonald. Geoffrey is survived by his best friend, Cheryl Curnew and his girlfriend, Erica Lockman. He will also be sadly missed by his friend, Norma Lynk. Geoffrey was predeceased by his mother, Darlene. A private family service, officiated by Fr. Leo Boone will be held in the V.J. McGillivray Chapel, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Interment will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery.
