Frederick Walter Gillingham “Ted” – 72, The Mira, Truro, formally of Halifax, passed away October 6, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Ted was born in Newfoundland on June 14, 1944. He had a great sense of humour and will be remembered for his laugh and witty attitude. He enjoyed singing old tunes, mostly Scottish Ballads. He moved to Truro a very short time ago but spent time in Pugwash as well as in the Halifax area. Ted has no known family members, but will be missed by friends and staff at the Mira who were his family for a short time. Ted will be laid to rest with dignity at a Graveside Service and Interment on Thursday, October 13th at 11am in Lower Onslow Clarke Cemetery, Lower Onslow, with Cory Lunn, officiating. In lieu of flowers or donations, please visit a family member or friend who is suffering from loneliness and in need of companionship.
