The death occurred at Andrews of Summerside, on Thursday, October 13, 2016, of John Meyer, of Summerside, aged 94 years. Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late Henry and Margaret (Broderick) Meyer. Veteran of World War II. Survived by his daughter Patti (Brian) Godin; grandchildren Kelly Godin (Bobby Khosh) and Whitney (Matthew “Matt”) Hilts; great-granddaughters Avalyn and Riley Hilts; a sister Margaret “Peggy” Savard; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Gwendolyn (Burns) Meyer; second wife Ethel (Douglas) Meyer; sisters Annie Meyer, Agnes Owen and Mary North; and by a brother Carl Meyer. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Monday, at 11 a.m. Private family interment will be held at a later date in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion together with members of the RCAFA 200 Wing, will hold a Service of Remembrance, at the funeral home Sunday, at 1:45 p.m. www.moase.ca
