Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family Joan Catherine "Peg" Janes at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 73 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Maureen (Darren Regular), Linda (Mike Colbourne) and Larry; grandchildren: Kayla (Bobby) Seaward, Matthew Tanner and Brandon Janes (Robin Burke); great-grandchildren: Jonah and Noah; brothers: Clarence (Bev) Snow, Walter Snow and David Snow; sister Sheila Snow; special friend Jim Allen; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Theresa Snow, sister Marie Knight, brother Albert Snow, parents-in-law Joshua and Marjorie Janes and her loving partner of 30 years Jerry Brake. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of the 1st floor, 3rd floor and Palliative Care Unit of WMRH. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Diabetic Association.
