William Kane
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on Saturday, April 5, 2008, age 84 years. Predeceased by his wife June (Elton) in 2001. Leaving to mourn are sons: Gordon (Yvonne), Bill (Bernadette), and John (Julie); grandchildren: Kristy Hiscock (Rob), Jeremy, Adam, Sarah, Dianna, Stephen, Matthew, Robyn and Amber Kane, Shauna and Michael Meehan; two great-grandchildren: Griffin Kane and Caden Hiscock; and sister Betty Stevens. Also leaving to mourn brothers-in-law William Elton (Faith) and Doug Elton (Gertrude); sisters-in-law Emma Barron (George) and Georgina Casson (Ben); as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and friends, including those at Cambridge Estates. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at the Hoyles-Escasoni for their loving care. Bill was a United States war veteran and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Key West, Florida. At his request cremation has taken place. Visitation at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, April 6, 3 p.m.- 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. and Monday, April 7, 2 p.m.- 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (The Kirk) at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
