Hettie MacDonald, 90, of Taigh Solas Nursing Home, North Sydney, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016. Hettie was a long time member of First United Church in Sydney. Surviving are her children, Blair (Karen)MacDonald, Bedford and Bradley(Elyse) MacDonald, Vancouver. She is also survived by grandchildren, Amy, Jocelyn and Katherine, Bedford and Miranda, Vancouver. Hettie was predeceased by her wonderful husband of 56 years, George; brothers, William, Thomas, Joseph and John; sisters, Myra, Dorothy and Whila (in infancy).
Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel, 49 Welton St., Sydney on Sunday, October 23 from 12-2 p.m., immediately followed by a family only funeral service. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northside /Harbourview Hospital Foundation or charity of choice.
