Passed away while surrounded by his loving family, at the Health Science Centre, on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, Anthony Stamp formerly of St. Vincent's-St. Stephen's, St. Mary's Bay, aged 74 years. Waiting to greet him in Heaven are his parents William and Rose Stamp. Leaving to mourn his sad loss are his three sisters: Anita (Edmund) Genge, Marion and Phyllis, brother Gordon, his many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, including Blake "Buddy" White and his godchild Mark Genge and his two very special aunts Pauline Fleming and Bride Martin, whom he cherished. He developed many close friendships throughout his life, especially Harold White, Mervil Churchill, Jerome and Mary Devereaux, his many co-workers during his 42 year employment with Ontario Hydro/Al Power Lines and the wonderful staff and residents at Woodford's Comfort Manor, Holyrood, where he resided for the past two years and was especially grateful to his special cousin Marg St. Croix and friend Derm Carberry for their many visits while living there. Resting at the Fr. Battcock Memorial Chapel, St. Vincent's, on Thursday, October 27, from 7-9 pm and Friday, October 28, 2-9 pm (no visitation on Saturday). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 29, at 1 pm, at Sacred Heart Church, St. Vincent's. Burial to follow. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gibbons' Funeral Home, St. Mary's.
