MacPHAIL, Rodney Burton - 28, of Pictou, passed away suddenly October 23, 2016.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Dale (Eva MacDonald) MacPhail, Pictou and the late Cathy (DeYoung) MacPhail.
Rodney enjoyed dirt bike riding and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Nevaeh (her mother, Tracey Ward); wife, Monica (Mingo) MacPhail; step-daughter, Chloe; brothers, Myles (Eileen Duggin), Nicky (Cynthia Downing); sister-in-law, Cynthia MacPhail, Pictou; grandmother, Erma MacPhail, Durham; aunts and uncles, Roger (Darlene) MacPhail, Scotch Hill; Edward, Manitoba; Jimmy, Truro; Robert (Donna), Ontario; Rockey, Ontario; Eileen Turple, Halifax; and several maternal aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by nieces and nephew, Cathy, Anaya, Lily, Jaycyn, and Luke; cousins, Madeline, Casey MacPhail, Sara Turple, and Jamie-Lee Gerrior.
Besides his mother he was predeceased by his brother, Jason Dale MacPhail, grandfather, George MacPhail; great grandmother, Elsie MacPhail, uncle, Watson MacPhail; grandparents, Walter and Marie DeYoung; uncle, Bert DeYoung.
The MacPhail family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday in the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
